no more cancer.
my classmate had a very large tumor removed from her right ovary this morning, but there were many complications as she lost a lot of blood in the process of removing it and several other tumors within her abdomen. she is in ICU receiving blood and hopefully regaining some strength so the surgeon can finish his job.
my best friend's dad is having surgery as well tomorrow (later today). he was diagnosed with prostate cancer about a month ago. he had had some benign colon polyps removed last spring/summer before Lesa's wedding but they had found a few more last week.
while 24 seems old, and my life can seem horrible with the burdens of school, I can be somewhat dramatic about it all, but then things like these happen and it makes me value what I have and realize that life is a gift. I am so thankful to be healthy and have such a wonderful family (and friends) that is there if/whenever I need them.
